How to access your Trip details:
Log in to your Outdoorsy account
Click on your Avatar or initials in the top right corner

Select Trips from the dropdown menu
Note: This will automatically take you to the details of your upcoming reservation
Manage multiple bookings: If you have more than one trip, simply click "Back to trips" to return to your main Trips page and select another reservation
What can I see and do on the Trip Details Page?
The Trip Details page serves as your central command center for every reservation. To help you stay organized, the page is broken down into several key sections:
Trip Details Header
The header provides a high-level summary of your reservation and quick access to essential booking actions. Here, you’ll find:
Vehicle & Booking Overview
Listing Details: View the name of the booked RV, its total length, and the maximum number of Guests it accommodates
Booking Dates: Your confirmed check-in and check-out dates are displayed prominently for quick reference
Host Information: See the name of your Host for a more personalized experience
Booking ID: A unique reference number for your specific reservation (useful if you need to contact support)
Booking Total: Full transparency on the total cost of your trip at a glance
Quick Actions
Message Host: Click this to open the secure messaging portal and communicate directly with your Host

Change Your Dates: Need to adjust your schedule? Click this to suggest new dates.
Note: All date changes require your Host’s final approval
Cancel Trip: If your plans have changed, use this button to start the cancellation process. Please review the specific cancellation policy set by the Host before proceeding, as fees may apply
Trip Timeline
Think of this as your trip roadmap. It’s a quick-glance, vertical progress tracker that shows exactly where you are in the rental process—from the moment your initial request is sent to the final vehicle return:
Request Sent: Displayed once you have submitted your booking request and are awaiting the Host's approval
Booking Confirmed: Displayed after the Host has accepted your reservation
Trip Approaching: This status appears a few days before your scheduled departure date
On Vacation: This status is active once your trip has officially begun
Vehicle Returned: Displayed after you have successfully completed your trip and returned the vehicle
Booking notifications
This section serves as your alert center for any outstanding tasks or updates that require your attention. You will see colored banners here if there are pending items to resolve:

Driver Verification Notification: If you or your Guests haven't completed verification, a banner will appear prompting you to take action
- Verify My ID: Click this to begin your own verification process
- Invite a Driver to Verify: Click this to send a verification link to another Guest on your booking

Host Trip Suggestion: If your Host proposes a change to your booking (such as adjusted dates or a vehicle swap), a notification banner will appear
- Review: Click this to view the Host's proposed changes. You can then Approve or Decline the suggestion based on your preference
Insurance Coverage
This section provides a summary of your protection and liability details. You can find:
Protection Package: Confirms which package your trip includes: Stationary, Essential, Preferred, or Peace of Mind packages are available, depending on whether you are staying parked or moving the vehicle during your trip
Deductible Amount: The specific out-of-pocket cost you are responsible for in the event of a claim
Liability Limits: Details on your coverage (e.g., state minimums)
"Learn More" Button: A quick link to a deep dive into our different protection levels if you need to review the fine print
Getting the RV
This logistics section outlines how and where you will receive the vehicle. It includes:
Handoff Method: Clearly states if the trip is a Pick up or if the Host is providing Delivery
Handoff Address: The confirmed physical location for the meeting or vehicle drop-off
Additional Protections
If you are a resident of the United States, you may see options to further secure your trip. These protections are location-dependent and typically include:
- Trip Protection: Covers your trip in case of serious illness, accident, weather-related cancellations, and more
- Interior Damage Protection: Additional coverage for accidental damage to the RV interior while it’s parked during your trip
Add-ons
Enhance your trip with specialized items offered by your Host. In this section, you can:
Browse Available Add-ons: See everything from camping chairs and kitchen kits to pet fees, including clear per-item pricing
Customize Your Trip: Click the "Change add-ons" button at any time to add or remove equipment from your booking
Guests
This section provides an overview of all confirmed travelers on your booking and their driver verification status. Use this area to manage your travel party and ensure everyone is cleared to drive before your departure:
Verify My ID: Click this button to begin the secure identity and driver verification process
Invite a Guest: Use this option to add more people to your reservation. You will need their full name and a unique email address. You will also be asked to confirm whether they will be a driver during the trip
Payment & Cancellation
This section ensures full financial transparency for your journey. It is divided into four key areas:
Payment Breakdown: A line-item list of your booking total, including the nightly rate, protection package, prep fees, add-ons, taxes, and service fees.

Payment Management: Update your payment method on file
Change Payment Method button: You can click on this button if you need to switch to a new payment method
Charges to Date: View a history of all payments already processed
Upcoming Charges: See a schedule of any remaining balances to help you plan your budget
Usage Rates: To avoid surprises, this area displays the mileage and generator hours included in your booking, along with the specific rates for any overages (per mile or per hour)
Cancellation Policy: Displays the specific policy set by your Host (e.g., Flexible, Moderate, or Strict) so you know exactly what to expect if your plans change
