Who is eligible for the discount program?

This offer is available to active-duty military personnel, veterans, and active or retired first responders (including law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMTs) who serve or have served within the United States.

 

As long as you can verify your service credentials through VerifyPass, you are eligible to claim the discount regardless of where you currently reside.

 

Does Outdoorsy offer discounts for military memberships or veteran associations?

While Outdoorsy does not require a specific club membership or association card (such as USAA, Veterans Advantage, or MOAA), our 20% American Heroes Discount covers all active-duty service members, veterans, and first responders. You simply verify your military identity or service credentials through VerifyPass on our Service Members page to receive your code.

  • Direct Savings on Your Trip: You save 20% on the daily RV rental rate as well as Host add-ons like preparation fees, generators, and extra equipment.

Note: Discounts apply strictly to the booking's subtotal (rental rate and Host add-ons). They do not apply to Outdoorsy service fees, protection/insurance packages, or taxes.

 

How to Redeem Your Discount

We've made it simple to claim your savings. Follow these steps to verify your identity and apply your promo code at checkout:

  1. Verify your identity: Navigate to the secure verification page at outdoorsy.com/service-members.
  2. Generate your code: Follow the verification prompts on the page via VerifyPass and wait for your unique Military and First Responder promo code to appear.
  3. Navigate to checkout: Copy the code, search for an RV, and proceed to the checkout page when you're ready to finalize your booking request.
  4. Enter your promo code: On the Pay and Book page of the checkout process, go to the Select a payment method section and click the link labeled "Use a promo code or gift card" to reveal the input field.
  5. Apply & verify price breakdown: Enter your code exactly as it appears and click Apply. Then, double-check your booking's price breakdown to confirm the 20% discount has been successfully deducted before clicking Submit request.

If you've been verified by VerifyPass but encounter technical issues applying your code at checkout, don't worry—we're here to help! Simply follow the steps below:

  3. Share the screenshot and the details of the specific RV you want to book so our team can quickly apply the 20% discount to your reservation.

I've already completed my checkout and had the booking confirmed. Can I still use the discount?

Yes! The good news is that we can still apply the discount even after you've completed your checkout. To have the discount applied retroactively to your reservation, simply contact our Customer Support team with your discount code and booking details, and we'll be happy to assist you in applying the savings.

 

I am renting from a Military Veteran Host. Does the discount apply automatically to my booking?

No, the discount does not apply automatically simply by selecting a vehicle listed by a military veteran Host.

 

While Hosts who serve or have served can display a "Military Host" badge on their profile, this badge is an identity badge to highlight their service, not an automatic price discount.

  • Outdoorsy American Heroes Discount (20% off): This program is fully funded by Outdoorsy to thank all U.S. active military, veterans, and first responders. To use it, you must verify your status on our Service Members page and enter your unique code at checkout.

  • Host-Specific Discounts: Some Hosts choose to offer their own separate, custom military discounts.

Only one discount code can be applied per booking. If you have both a custom Host discount and Outdoorsy's 20% Heroes Discount, simply enter your preferred code at checkout. If you need help applying a code or adjusting an existing reservation, please contact Customer Support.
