Where to find your Notification settings?
Want to streamline important updates or simply customize the type of notifications you get? No worries! We have a place for that just for you.
To get started:
Log in to your Outdoorsy account
Click/tap your Avatar or initials
Select Account from the dropdown menu
Select the Notifications tab.
From there, you’ll see a list of toggle buttons—think of 'em like switches on your notification settings. You can flip them on or off whenever you please.
How do I manage my account's notification settings?
As a Host, communication is your best friend. You want to know when a Guest is interested and how to make your listing shine like a polished chrome bumper. Your account's notification settings can be updated via the Account page's Notifications tab.
Under the tab, you'll see different toggle buttons, grouped per category/notification type you can use. Refer to the different notification toggle buttons below for more information:
Email Notifications
Email is the best way to get the full story, from business tips to travel inspiration for your own next getaway.
Host Smart Match opportunities: Receive summaries of a prospective Guest’s trip so you can send a quote or start a chat.
Listing Optimization & Success Tips: Get tips on listing best practices, pricing strategies, and features that make your rig stand out.
Guest Newsletter: Get news, tips, stories, events, travel inspirations, and special highlights.
Guest Promotions: Unlock exclusive deals and special offers tailored just for you.
Guest Campground Promotions: Discover amazing campground deals and unique stays for your own trips.
Outdoorsy Bayfield Newsletter: Receive local news, outdoor activities, and travel tips for the Bayfield area.
Outdoorsy Texas Hill Country Newsletter: Get updates on local events and travel guides for the heart of Texas.
Outdoorsy Yosemite Newsletter: Receive the latest news, hiking tips, wildlife sightings, and updates for Outdoorsy Yosemite.
Host Newsletter: Get updates, hosting tips, success stories, and Host best practices.
Host Calendar Update Reminders: Reminders to keep your calendar up to date so you don't miss a booking.
SMS (Text) Notifications
When you’re out on the trail, a quick text is often the best way to stay hitched to your business.
Booking notifications: Receive alerts for all new booking requests the moment they come in.
Message notifications: Receive alerts for all new messages from Guests so you can reply fast.
Guest promotions: Exclusive deals and special offers delivered straight to your phone.

Pro Tip: If you want to keep your business running like a well-oiled machine, we reckon you should at least keep Booking and Message notifications turned on for SMS. It ensures you’re the first to answer a Guest's call, and out here, a quick response is the best way to secure a happy camper!

Guest Smart Match opportunities: When turned on, Smart Match will continue your search if your booking is canceled or declined. Nearby Hosts with similar listings may reach out to you with messages or pre-approved quotes
Note: While you're a Host, this toggle helps you out when you're wearing your "Guest hat" and looking to rent a rig yourself.
