Lost Access to Your Outdoorsy Account? Here's How to Get Back In!
We know it's frustrating when you can't get into your account, but don't worry, we've got you covered! For your security, we've made it super easy for you to get back into your Outdoorsy account yourself.
Need to Change Your Email Address?
If you have an Outdoorsy account but can no longer access the email address you used to sign up, you can easily update it yourself once you're logged in. For your security, our customer support team can't make this change for you.
Here's how to change the email address linked to your account:
- Log in to your Outdoorsy account
- Go to your Account
- Change the email address associated with your account
- Check your new email for any verification instructions and final steps
Forgot Your Password? No Problem!
If you've forgotten your password, the quickest way to get back in is by using the "Forgot your password?" link right on our login page at Outdoorsy.com. Just click it, follow the steps, and you'll be able to reset your password.
Important Note: For your protection, our customer support team can't change your password for you or give you a temporary one. If the "Forgot your password?" option isn't working for you right now, please try again a bit later. We can still help with other general questions though!
Not Seeing the Reset Password Email?
If you’ve hit that reset button but your inbox and all other folders, as well as your Spam and Junk folders, are looking empty, don't panic. Sometimes those emails get lost on the digital highway. Before you try again, give these steps a go:
Double-check the address: Make sure there aren’t any typos or sneaky extra spaces in the email address you’re using to log in.
Whitelist Outdoorsy: Add
no-reply@outdoorsy.comto your email contacts or "Safe Senders" list. This tells your provider we’re cool and helps our emails skip the Spam, Junk, and Promotions folders.Switch it up: Try requesting the reset using a different browser ( Chrome and Safari work best!) or a different device.
Clear the trail: Sometimes your browser’s cache acts like a muddy road. Clear your browser's cache and cookies, or try again in an incognito/private window for a fresh start.
Dealing with "Too Many Login Attempts"?
If you’ve tried too many times and hit a "too many login attempts" error, your account has gone into a temporary lockout for your own security. Think of it as our way to protect your account from unauthorized digital hijackers.
To get back on the road:
Take a break: Wait at least 1–2 hours before trying to log in again. This gives the system time to reset the lockout. This gives the system a chance to reset the security lockout and ensures your next attempt is successful.
Use the fresh link: When you do get that email, only use the most recent password reset link. Older links expire quickly and won't get you through the gate.
Check your connection: Ensure you have a stable internet connection. If you’re using a VPN or proxy, try disabling it—they can sometimes trigger security flags.
Using your Google, Facebook, or Apple account to Log In?
If you usually sign in with a social account's single-sign-on (SSO) but find yourself locked out of that platform, just want to switch to a standard password, or your social account has been deactivated, you can still get into Outdoorsy, as long as you still have access to the email address on file.
Password reset option: Even if you signed up via social login, you can use the "Forgot your password?" link. We’ll send a reset link to your email, allowing you to set a unique Outdoorsy password. Once that’s done, you can log in using your email and that new password going forward!
Manual workaround: If you’ve lost access to both your social account and the email address linked to it, you won't be able to receive the reset link. In that case, scroll down to the "Still Can't Get In?" section, so our Customer Support team can help you verify your identity.
Think your account was hacked or see unauthorized activity?
If you notice a booking you didn't make, changes to your profile you don't recognize, or you suspect someone else has accessed your account, let’s get things locked down immediately:
Reset your password right away: If you still have access to your email, use the "Forgot your password?" link to kick out anyone else who might be logged in.
Audit your info: Once you’re in, head to your Account Settings. Check that your email address, phone number, and payout/payment methods are still correct.
Review recent activity: Take a quick look at your recent bookings and messages to ensure everything looks like yours.
Contact Outdoorsy Customer Support immediately: If you’ve been locked out or your email address was changed without your permission, skip the troubleshooting and reach out to us right away so we can help you retrieve and secure your account.
