Outdoorsy Hosts are able to send over a customized quote to any Guest on the platform. Sending a quote is a great opportunity to accommodate a Guest quickly and tailor it especially to them. Creating a quote allows you to choose a different nightly rate, personalized add-ons, and even designate a different security deposit amount. What is great about sending over a quote is that it’s only a two-step process. The Host sends over the quote, and the Guest accepts and pays. Voila, you’re booked!
Creating a customized quote is the way to invite a brand-new Guest to Outdoorsy and taking advantage of our specialized fee structure for new Guests. When you send a brand-new Guest a quote and they book your vehicle from that quote, the Host fee on that booking will drop down to 6.5% and the Guest fee to 0%. A win-win! The new Guest must not already have an Outdoorsy account associated with their email address for the Host and Guest fees to be reduced.
Quotes are also great for accommodating last-minute Guests in a timely manner, and or setting up a personalized reservation for friends and family. When you send over a quote with a different nightly rate, it will not affect the pricing that shows when your rig comes up in searches. The quotes are a one-time deal, so there is no need to worry about another Guest jumping in on the specialized pricing!
To send a customized quote, follow the steps below:
- Click on the Bookings tab at the top of your Outdoorsy Account
- Click on the Send a quote button in the upper right corner of the page
- Follow the steps, entering in all of the necessary booking details
- Once your quote is personalized and ready to go, press Send
Once the Guest receives the notification and they accept the quote, they will be charged and have a confirmed booking!
